Sand Flats Recreation Area Bobcat Campground has 17 single-family campsites and is located just across the street from the popular Slickrock trailhead. Campsites are first-come, first-serve. Each campsite has a table, fire ring and grate. The campground also has vault toilets. Water or hookups are not available.
Group campsites can also be reserved in the Datura and Echo loops.
The area features a high plain of colorful slick rock domes, bowls and fins. Visitors can also see the 13,000 foot peaks of the La Sal Mountains. The world-famous Slickrock and Porcupine Rim bike trails and almost 40 miles of jeep trails offer a unique combination of challenge and awesome scenery. Other activities include hiking, picnicking and wildlife viewing.
