Sand Hollow State Park has two campgrounds and both are located next to the lake. Westside campground has 50 campsites with full hookups. Sandpit has 30 sites for tent & OHV campers.
Westside campground also had 2 modern bathrooms with 5 hot showers each. Each site also has a table, fire ring and grill. Sand Pit campground is on the opposite shore of the lake and is mainly for tent and OHV campers who ride the dunes of Sand Mountain. Our favorite sites in Westside are 20 to 28, which sit on a small knoll with excellent views. The sites are all very big with 27 of the 50 being large pull-thru campsites. Three of the sites are ADA. Firewood is also available for sale from the camp host.
The park also has a dump station, dry storage area, marina and boat ramp.
Sand Hollow State Park is one of Utah’s most popular. The park features the beautiful Sand Hollow Reservoir with its blue waters and red sandstone landscape. You can boat, fish, swim, bike, hike, explore and ride the dunes of Sand Mountain with an OHV throughout the year. Wildlife viewing is also nice here.
