Upper Big Bend Overview

Upper Big Bend Bathroom

Upper Big Bend Campground is located on the banks of the mighty Colorado River in a beautiful canyon.  The 8 campsites are available on a first come/first serve basis.  The campground has a picnic area, vault toilets, but no drinking water. Each campsite also has a picnic table, fire ring and grill.

Outdoor recreation in the area include climbing in the Big Ben Bouldering Area, hiking, fishing, rafting, kayaking, canoeing, tubing and wildlife viewing. OHV trail riding is also popular throughout the area. Cell service is poor in the area.

Other campgrounds in the area include Big Bend, Hal Canyon, Goose Island, Granstaff, Drinks Canyon and Oak Grove.
