Wahweap Campground in the Glen Canyon National Recreation Area has 287 campsites on a hillside overlooking Lake Powell. There are 139 sites with full hookups, 112 dry campsites and 36 tent-only campsites.
Loops A, B, C, D and F have the full hookup sites. Loop 1 (sites 1-27) has the tent-only sites. Loop 2 (sites 28-55), Loop 3 (sites 56-81) and Loop 4 (sites 82-112) are the dry camping sites for tents, trailers and RVs (up to 40 feet). Six group campsites are also available in loop G.
Campground amenities include drinking water, flush toilets, hot showers, free Wifi, a laundry, camp store and a dump station. There’s also a marina, boat ramp, amphitheater, pinkie area and beach nearby. Each campsite also has a table, fire ring and grate.
Lake Powell, the focal point of Glen Canyon National Recreation area, consists of almost 2,000 miles of shoreline, deep canyons, rock outcrops and spectacular scenery. Outdoor recreation includes boating, fishing, water sports, swimming, picnicking, hiking, biking and wildlife viewing. You can also enjoy house boating, horseback riding, Lake Powell boat tours and many other activities.
If you’re heading toward Kanab, White House Campground is a nice stopover. Lees Ferry Campground is also in the area.

The Wahweap Campground was phenomenal! There is no real shade from the unrelenting sun so bring your Easyup if you are tent camping. The bathrooms were super clean. The sunrises were to die for.
