It’s just 2 miles off State Highway 16 but it feels much more remote.  Hikers can walk from their campsite to the Appalachian Trail and many other nearby trails.

The campground is generally open mid April to late October. Amenities include drinking water, flush toilets, warm-water showers and trash collection. Firewood is also available to purchase from the camp host. Cell service is not available.

Campsites can accommodate tents, trailers and RVs. Two of the campsites are double sites and the rest are for single-family campers. A few of the campsites have a short walk from the parking area to the camp area. Each site also has a table, lantern pole, fire ring and grill. There’s also a large (groomed) grassy fields available for camping.
