Booked site D 214 for the week of July 4th. Nice site but was not what I expected. Was supposed to be a site where we could see the water and it was not. It was very shady. But my tv antenna nor my satellite would pick up. Also I had very poor cell phone reception. If you want to be in a quiet place with lots of time to do nothing this would be a great place. Closes town is 15 miles. Not alot there either.

  3. Genevieve Cain says:

We enjoyed our visit during 7/4 weekend as we have in the past. We booked site 98B. It was nice, but probably not one of my favorite compared to the other sites we have had in the past. A close walk to the beach, just did like it was narrow at the end of the drive so we have to put the tent up in a direction we didn’t like and close to the pit cooking so we had smoke inside the tent. For a camper to back up it would be a great location (30 feet backup if I remember correctly). Wish I could find a site to post pics of the site itself and see others.

  4. Carl David Burroughs says:

Should mention that it is a (COE) Corp of engineers park.
Many seniors looking for their discount will love that it is 1/2 price.

    • Thanks Carl – we will make a note of this in the campground description!

    • Donna Vance says:

This COE campground is the very best that we have been to! We have stayed at some in other states, but THIS is the best, clean, friendly, secured, and totally 100% campground! You can always depend on it being the best every time you visit or camp! I love my COE cg!

  5. Mary Ann Olsen says:

First of all, thanks for the help several days ago however, I have tried to reach North Bend to change a reservation made in June. Currently we have 216D from the 6th, checking out on 11th. I am trying to get closer to my daughter at 233D. I called at 10:30 this morning and was told my call would be returned in 16 minutes. I have yet to receive a call. Our RV motorhome is 32 ft. and we will be renting a car to have while there. We also like 50 amp if possible. I would very much appreciate if your reservations would check to see if any level sites are available close to 233D that would suite our RV.

    • Hi Mary Ann,
CampsitePhotos.com is not associated with the campgrounds listed on our site. We provide the photos of each campsite, campground info and links to make reservations. For North Bend Park, I recommend you give Recreation.gov a call again to check on changing your site. Their phone number is: (877) 444-6777

  6. I have been coming to north bend park for 50+ years and until now I have never been told my motorcycle was not allowed.

    • Is this true no motorcycles allowed??

      • Hi Linda,

North Ben Park campground does not allow off-road vehicles or golf carts. However, we think that street legal motorcycles are permitted – but you may want to call the park to confirm: 434-738-0059

  7. Donna Ruth Seay-Vance says:

Our most favorite campground! Can always count on courteous staff, security, clean, quiet and good sections! Love my NBC at Kerr Dam!

  8. Brian Adams says:

Campsite is a 5 star reserving is 0 stars
Stayed in campsite 173C a few years back and loved it. We were lucky enough to have reserved it in the middle of August. Unfortunately there is some sort of glitch or inside scheme trying to make a new reservation. Every time the site posts it will be available for reservation it somehow is reserved for weeks at a time. i wait my time until it reflects it will be up again and then that second i try its reserved. I have tried other sites like 170,172,176,193,194 & 195 all in the C section. but all taken. i understand they are popular sites but there is no way i get beat out each time the moment they all come available. Please advise as why this is…..

  9. James W Lynch or Billy says:

  10. Mary e. Caballero says:

I love, this campground, it is so beautiful, and it is the best place in the United states to enjoy it with your family and friends, and I also did have a great experience to be close to a baby bear at very short distance!

  11. tina Murphy says:

This was a great campground can to it every year for 10 years. Now it totally impossible to get a site. People must get up in the middle of the night to book sites. I finally got a site and stayed for 5 night. the sites I want to book stayed empty the whole time. I talked to the park assisted and they said that the locals book the sites and never us them. they will book them in one name for time they are allowed, then turn around and book it with another name. I have to drive 5 hour to get there and I whish o could book a site on line. they should have never put electric or water at the site. .

    • Hi Tina,
Sorry to hear it’s so difficult to reserve a campsite at North Bend Park. Seems that is the case for many campgrounds.
You can always try our Campsite Assist tool. It will send you a text and email notification when a campsite becomes available on the dates you want to camp. There’s also a link to try and reserve the site. You can check it out HERE.
