I was at Sherando Lake several years ago and had a pleasant time. The facilities are neat and clean and there are trails to hike and a nice lake for swimming and boating. You’ll have to carry any boat from the parking lot to the launch area as there is no ramp. That’s a plus in my book. The camp sites fill up early with locals in the summer months so try to reserve ahead.
Been to the lake several times love it there.
nice park , great campground love it here
