Bomoseen State Park Campground is located in the Taconic Mountains on the shores of Lake Bomoseen. The campground has 65 campsites, including 10 lean-tos. Some sites are wooded and others are in grassy/open areas. The campground has flush toilets, hot showers ($) and a dump station. A snack bar concession and boat rentals are available at the beach on Lake Bomoseen. Each campsite has a table, fire ring and grill.
The 3,576-acre park contains several quarry holes with colorful slate rubble piles from when this area produced slate. Both Glen Lake and Lake Bomoseen are located in the park and offer great boating and fishing. Other outdoor recreation activities include hiking, biking, swimming, canoeing, kayaking, picnicking and wildlife viewing.
Half Moon Pond State Park is also nearby and has 63 campsites for tents, trailers and RVs.
