Grand Isle State Park is located on South Hero Island in Lake Champlain. The campground has 117 tent, trailer and RV sites, as well as 36 lean-to sites and 4 cabins. There are no hookup campsites, but each has a table, fire ring and grate. The campground has drinking water, flush toilets, hot showers, trash collection and an RV dump station.
Grand Isle State Park is Vermont’s 2nd largest and one of the most popular. The Park includes 226 acres of beautiful woods and 4,150 feet of Lake Champlain shorefront. There’s also a nature center, boat launch ramp, sand volleyball court, horseshoes, play area, hiking trails and swimming beach. Kayak and rowboats are also available for rent. The island is 14 miles long and over 3 miles wide. The towns of Grand Isle and South Hero are also on the island.
Outdoor activities are plentiful and include boating, fishing, water sports, swimming, hiking, biking and wildlife viewing.
Other Vermont State Parks in the area include Lake Carmi State Park and Dar State Park.

Do you have any fall foliage pics of the island. Husband was born there. And spent many hrs on the lake.

Unfortunately our photographer was at Grand Isle State Park in the summer, so we did not get any photos of the spectacular fall foliage.
