Bear Creek (WA) Campground Olympic National Forest Washington

Bear Creek (WA) Overview

Bear Creek Campground has 16 single-family campsites and in a heavily forested area along the Sol Duc River in the western Olympic Peninsula. It is also just off Highway 101. All campsites are first-come, first-serve. The campground is maintained but gets a little worn around the edges due to heavy use (especially the vault toilets). You’ll also have some traffic noise from the highway.

Campsites can accommodate tents, trailers and RVs (up to 30 feet). Each site also has a table, fire ring and grill. Campground amenities include drinking water, vault toilets and trash collection. Cell service is poor.

Other nearby campgrounds include Fairholme, Klahowya and Sol DucSol Duc Hot Springs Resort also offers camping, cabins and lodge rooms.

Bear Creek – Area Recreation & Activities

Outdoor recreation in the area includes fishing, swimming, hiking, biking, picnicking and wildlife viewing.
