Falls Creek campground has 31 campsites situated in an old growth forest on the shoreline of Lake Quinault and Falls Creek. The campground is on the Olympic Peninsula in western Washington state just outside Olympic National Park. Because it is in a temperate rainforest, expect wet/damp weather.
Falls Creek campground can accommodate tents, trailers and small RVs (up to 16 feet). Many sites have views of the Lake Quinault. Hookups are not provided, but the campground does have drinking water, a flush toilet and picnic areas. Each campsite also has a table, fire ring and grate. In addition to the 31 reservable sites, there are 10 walk-in campsites available.
You’ll get to enjoy some pretty spectacular scenery with outstanding with views of Lake Quinault, Quinault Valley, Colonel Bob Wilderness and the Olympic Mountains. Other outdoor recreation includes boating, canoeing, kayaking, fishing, swimming, picnicking, stargazing and wildlife viewing. Dogs are also allowed (on a leash) in the campground.
Willaby and Gatton Creek are two other nearby campgrounds on Lake Quinault. Coho campground is also over by Wynoochee Lake.
