Goodell Creek campground has 21 single-family campsites situated under a canopy of tall trees, cradled between the Skagit River and Goodell Creek. Group camping is also available. Campsites can accommodate tents, trailers and RVs. Each site also has a table, fire ring, grate and food storage locker. Campground amenities include drinking water and vault toilets.
The Skagit River is the largest river that flows into the Puget Sound area and provides critical habitat for all species of Pacific salmon; there is a salmon-viewing station located near the group campsites. Outdoor recreation in the area includes fishing, kayaking, rafting, tubing, hiking, mountain biking, picnicking and exploring historic sites. Wildlife viewing is really good here with opportunities to see bear, a variety of bird species and other forest critters. The town of Newhalem is also nearby should you need any supplies or a break from camp food.
You may also like Colonial Creek South, Colonial Creek North and Newhalem campgrounds.
