Halfway Flat Overview
Halfway Flat Campground has 8 campsites and is on the banks of the Naches River in the eastern Cascade Mountains. It is also located just 30 minutes below the summit of Chinook Pass and Mt. Rainer National park. Five of the campsites are reservable Memorial Day through Labor Day, and all sites are first-come, first-serve other times of the year.
Campsites have nice shade and easy access to the river. This section of the river is quite fast so keep an eye on the little tots. Amenities include drinking water and a vault toilet. Each campsite also has a table, fire ring and grill.
Area Recreation & Activities
Fishing is very popular hear, as is hiking and horseback riding. Expert kayakers can also give it a whirl in late spring/early summer. Other activities include OHVing, snowmobiling, hiking, mountain biking, picnicking and wildlife viewing.
Other campgrounds in the area include Little Naches, Sawmill Flat and Cedar Springs.
