Iron Creek campground has 99 campsites and is located in an old-growth forest along the Cispus River in the Gifford Pinchot National Forest. It makes for a great basecamp to explore the more remote side of Mount St. Helens.
Campsites can accommodate tents, trailers and RVs (up to 40 feet). Some of the sites are double-family sites. Each campsite also has a table, fire ring and grate. Campground amenities include drinking water, vault toilets and trash collection. Cell service is not available.
Mixed-used trails offer visitors the opportunity to hike, mountain biking and ride their horse. Other outdoor recreation includes excellent fishing for cutthroat, whitefish and rainbow trout. Wildlife viewing is also pretty good in the area. You can also drive over to Mount St. Helens to explore the area.
Other campgrounds in the area include Big Creek, Tower Rock, Blue Lake Creek, Adams Fork, Cat Creek and North Fork. You may also like Cowlitz Falls campground.

we spent a week there awesome place clean quiet lots of plays-es to hike around
Awesome campground. Hands down the best in the area in my opinion. Really lush undergrowth with a lot of fairly private sites (some are better than others but all benefit from the lush greenery).
Great camp host who was very friendly and kept the bathrooms clean and stocked on a full Memorial Day weekend when every site was full.
