Lake Sylvia State Park is the site of an old logging camp in a wooded area between Olympia and the Pacific Ocean. The campground has 42 campsites in a wooded area next to the lake. There are 31 standard sites, 4 sites with electric hookups, 4 primitive walk-to sites and 2 primitive sites for hikers/bikers. A group campsite is also available (tent only / up to 50 people).
Park/campground amenities include drinking water, flush toilets, hot-water showers, dump station and trash collection. There’s also a picnic/day-use area, playground, park/camp store, and boat ramp. Each campsite also has a table, fire ring and grill. Cell service is fair in the area.
Out door recreation includes boating (non motorized), kayaking, canoeing, paddle-boarding, swimming, fishing, mountain biking, picnicking and wildlife viewing. Visitors can also see may huge, old-growth stumps and logging various artifacts.
