Potlatch State Park campground has 38 campsites (35 with partial hookups) and is located on the Hood Canal and 40 miles from Olympia. There are also 2 hiker/biker campsites. Camping reservations are available May through September, and first-come, first-served other times of the year. The sites are well-shaded by a large old-growth forest.
Campsites can accommodate tents, trailers and RVs (up to 60 feet). Each campsite also has a table, fire ring and grate. Campground amenities include drinking water, flush toilets, hot showers ($) and a dump station. There’s also a play field, playground, and picnic/day use area.
Outdoor recreation in the area includes boating, canoeing, kayaking, fishing, swimming, sailboarding, scuba diving, clamming, crabbing, hiking, biking and picnicking. Wildlife viewing is particular nice here and you may see elk herds and a variety of bird and marine animals.
