Good evening. My wife and I just purchased our first travel trailer which is 36-foot. I know y’all mentioned space is up to 35-feet. We would like to know if you have space available during Labor Day weekend?
Thank you for your time, have a blessed weekend

    • Hi Sergeant Major & Tammy Lovins,
CampsitePhotos.com is not associated with the campgrounds listed on our site. We provide the campsite photos and other campground information. Staircase Campground in Olympic National park is first-come, first-serve and there are spaces that will accommodated your 36 foot trailer. Since the campground is first-come, first-serve – it’s hard to know if there will be space available. Labor Day weekend is very popular and I recommend you try and arrive early Friday morning for a chance. You can also call the campground directly to see if they may be able to help: 360 877-5569. Best of luck!

Staircase campground is no longer first-come, first-served. During summer it is by reservation. The last portion of the road into the camp is gravel and can get rough with potholes. Large trailers/RVs might do better to stay at Big Creek 7 miles away and make a day trip up to Staircase for hikes. Staircase campground has gotten popular and the area is often quite busy in the summer with local young people enjoying the shores of Lake Cushman. Not the quiet refuge it used to be IMHO.

    • Thanks for the comment and info AK! I checked Rec.gov and wasn’t able to find Staircase (even those the Olympic National Park website says – as you pointed out – that reservations are accepted). I’ll keep an eye on Rec.gov to see when they add Staircase.
