The Dalles Campground has 44 campsites set in an old growth forest next to the White River in Mt. Baker-Snoqualimie National Forest. Mt. Rainer, the highest mountain in Washington and the Cascades range, dominates the landscape on a clear day. One group site is also available and can accommodate up to 50 people.
Campsites are nicely spread out and can accommodate tents, trailers and RVs. Some campsites are riverfront. Each site also has a table, fire ring and grill. Campground amenities include drinking water, vault toilets and trash collection. Firewood is also available to purchase from the camp host. Cell service is poor in the area.
Other Campgrounds in the area include Silver Springs and Federation Forest State Park (day use only).
Outdoor recreation in the area includes fishing, hiking, picnicking and wildlife viewing.
A covered historic picnic shelter, constructed by the Civilian Conservation Corps, may be reserved, otherwise it is available on a first-come first-serve basis.
