Walupt Lake Overview

Walupt Lake Campground has 42 campsites and is located where Walupt Creek enters the lake. Campsites 37-42 walk-to/tent only and next to the beach.  There are 4 double-family sites (8, 20, 30 and 32) and the rest are for single-families.

The popular campground is in a forested area and most sites have great views of Mt. Adams and the Southern Goat Rocks Wilderness. Amenities include vault toilets and trash collection. There’s also a primitive boat ramp, day use/picnic area and a swimming beach.  Cell service is not available. Campsites can accommodate tents, trailers and RVs (up to 25 feet), except the walk-to sites are tent only.

Walupt Lake – Area Recreation and Activities

The 384-acre lake offers some good fishing for Rainbow and Cutthroat Trout. Other activities include boating (10 mph speed limit), canoeing, kayaking, swimming, hiking, mountain biking, picnicking and wildlife viewing.

Other campgrounds in the area (within 25 miles) include Cat Creek, Horseshoe Lake, Killen Creek, Adams Fork, Takhlakh Lake and Olallie Lake.
