Beaver Lake Campground Chequamegon-Nicolet NF Wisconsin
Beaver Lake Overview
Beaver Lake Campground has 10 campsites and is located next to a pretty 35-acre pond in the Chequamegon National Forest. The North County National Scenic Trail is also nearby. Campsites 4-10 are reservable and sites 1-4 are first-come, first-serve.
The waterfront campsites can accommodate tents, trailers and RVs (25 to 35 feet). Each site also has a table, fire ring and grill. Amenities include vault toilets, drinking water and trash collection. Cell service is not available in the area.
Area Recreation & Activities
A short trail connects the campground to the North Country National Scenic Trail, which traverses through Chequamegon National Forest as it makes its way from New York to North Dakota. The surrounding area offers many miles of off-road vehicle, hiking and mountain biking trails, along with several lakes and rivers to wet a line or launch a boat. Springbrook, a Class 1 brook trout stream, is nearby, and is a popular spot for anglers.

This is my happy place. my favorite campground anywhere. As of Summer 2022, there was no cell service. That’s one of the things I like about it! Totally off the grid.
