Babcock State Park Overview

Babcock State Park campground has 52 single-family campsites for tents, trailers or RVs. The campground has 28 sites with electric hookups for trailers and RVs. Each campsite also has a table, fire ring and grill. Half of the campsites are available for reservations and the remainder are first-come, first-serve.

Campground amenities include drinking water (spigots), flush toilets, hot showers, WiFi and coin-operated washers/dryers. There are also two sewage dump stations available.

Babcock State Park – Area Recreation

Babcock State Park includes 4,127 acres of rugged and beautiful adventure. Visitors can enjoy hiking the many trails through the mountains, canyons and along the river.  Outdoor recreation includes hiking, biking, fishing, wildlife viewing and exploring historic sites like the Glad Creek Grist Mill.

You may also be interested in Camp Creek State Park. It’s about an hour south and has a couple of campgrounds with about 40 campsites (25 have hookups). Battle Run Campground is also nice and on West Virginia’s largest lake.
