We’ve got a reservation for group site 5, from your pictures I can’t tell if there are multiple tables at the site. Do you know if there are? Thanks for being the only site to post pictures of each campsite!
You are welcome Abby! And all campsites (group included) have tables, a fire ring, grate and food storage locker. Have a great trip!
How can I find photos of the group sites? Are they wooded?
Hi Jody,
Sorry – we don’t have pictures of the group campsites at Colter Bay yet. Those sites are in a wooded area, but also have areas of the campsites open to the stars.
We are planning on coming up around July 10th but are worried about not getting a spot, tent campers, should we be concerned? Long drive from Vegas to not have a definite place….
HI Sean, It’s a tough call on getting a campsite at Colter Bay campground in July. That will be a very popular time of year. I would recommend getting to the campground around 7AM and get in line for a campsite as people will be starting to show up then if it is full. Usually some will open up each day, but best to be there early if you can. Good luck!
We are arriving 8/27 and have reserved a tent cabin.
-Where do we check in?
-Is there a senior discount on the tent cabins? If so, what is the rate?
Thank you!
Hi Beth,
CampsitePhotos.com is not associated with the parks/campgrounds listed on our site. We provide the campsite photos, campground info and link to make reservations.
For Colter Bay campground and cabins, you’ll most likely check in at the Colter Bay Village office. You can also call this direct # and they should be able to confirm: (307) 543-2811
I have looked at several sites and I am confused. Can we get a reservation for campsites in Sept. of 2019?
Hi Marla,
Colter Bay campground (operated by the National Park) is first-come, first-served and has 350 campsites for tents, trailers and RVs. Colter Bay Village RV Park does take reservations and has 103 campsites for trailer and RVs.
Colter Bay Village RV Park is the most popular location for RV camping. Reservations for June – September fill quickly. We recommend calling before Jan 1 for the best availability. Due to high demand, we’re unable to offer a waitlist.
Does anyone have images of the camp sites where people who work in the Coulter Bay Village park their RV’s? My wife and I are going to be working there this 2020 season and while we do have a site for our camper we don’t have any images of the site or where they are. I have asked the manager , but seems most of the sites are under snow right now. My hope is someone here has a few images already.
Thank you
Jim
Go to google maps and zoom in on Colter Bay Village and you will see the second road after turning on to Colter Bay Village Rd is Dorm Road, the employee sites are the ones on Dorm Road.
What is the maximum tent size ( width x length ) that the campsite allows ?
Hi Georgi,
Most campsites at Colter Bay campground have nice room for larger tents. There is no size limit for tents, but they must fit within your campsite boundaries.
Do you know what sites numbers are electric? Is there an over map of the park to see which loops are closest to the water?
Hi Carissa,
There are 13 campsites at Colter Bay with electric hookups, but these are all ADA sites. I don’t know what the campsite #s are for the ADA/electric campsites. All sites are first come first serve.
The Colter Bay RV Park has 103 campsites and all have full hookups. These can be reserved online.
I have a question. As we look at the different campsites they seem to have a restriction of 25feet for tow vehicle and trailer. We have a small 18 foot pop up and a 15 foot Jeep Grand Cherokee which is a mid size vehicle. We have camped there many times and most campgrounds can accomodate much bigger vehicles than mine. Why is the restriction just 25feet for tow vehicle and trailer. That is really small. Can you send me an email with the answer to my question please.
Hi Michael,
I’ll send you an email regarding your question.
Hi there, can you please tell me if the road through the campground is one way, and you can only park your RV in one direction on the sites, or if you can park your RV both sides of the road with the door facing the tables?
Thanks and kind regards, Helen
Hi Helen,
Good question. I’m not positive, but I believe the camp roads at Colter Bay are one way. Perhaps someone else can comment and confirm.
Hi there, looking at Colter Bay and noticed that the total length of RV and truck is 50 feet, we are 54 all connected, is this something that a certain spot would accommodate? Looking at K228 it seems to be very large.
Thanks, Craig
Hi Craig,
Yes – 50 feet is the listed maximum length for vehicles at Colter Bay campsites (including K228). With that said, that site looks big enough for your 54′ connected (truck/trailer). The pad length for K228 is also listed as 50 feet, but there’s some wiggle room out back and in front. Since you have two vehicles (both under 50 feet), the ranger/host would probably say okay as long as all wheels are parked on the pavement. The ranger/host makes the final call though.
