Headwaters Campground has 131 campsites (97 with full hookups) and is located close to the upper Snake River, among meadows mixed with open conifer forest. It is also just 2 miles south of Yellowstone National Park. There are also 39 Camper Cabins available and include double-double or double-single bunk-style beds. Thirty-four sites are tent only.

All RV sites are pull-through with gravel parking space for one RV and one tow vehicle with a maximum total length of 45 feet. RV sites offer full-hookups including sewer, water, and 20, 30, and 50-amp electric outlets. Propane is available for purchase at the campground office.

Campground amenities include potable water, flush toilets, hot showers, laundry facilities, a dump station, and camp store. Propane, ice and firewood are also available for sale at the store.  Each campsite and cabin also has a table, food storage locker, fire ring and grate.

Headwaters – Outdoor Recreation & Activities

Outdoor fun includes rafting, kayaking, fishing, hiking, backpacking, biking, photography, horseback riding and picnicking. And of course wildlife viewing is also spectacular in the area.

Other campgrounds options include Jenny Lake (50 tent-only sites), Gros Ventre (315 campsites),  Colter Bay (350 campsites), Colter Bay RV Park (112 full hookup sites), Lizard Creek (60 campsites) and Signal Mountain (81 campsites).
