Island Park Campground Bighorn National Forest Wyoming
Island Park Overview
Island Park Campground has 10 really sweet campsites set among a spruce and pine forest at an elevation of 8,576 feet in the Bighorn National Forest. The campground is adjacent to West Tensleep Creek and near West Tensleep Lake. The campsites will work for RVs, trailers and tents. Each campsite also has a table, fire ring and grill.
The campground has drinking water and vault toilets. There are no hookups and the nearest dump station is 17 miles away. Cell service is not available in the area.
Island Park – Area Recreation
There’s lots of fun stuff to do in the Island Park Campground area including fishing, hiking, hunting, OHVing, kayaking, mountain biking riding, backpacking and wildlife viewing.
You may also be interested in Deer Park campground. It’s about 30 miles to the north. Lakeview Bighorn is also a nice campground.
