Lake Owen Campground has 35 large campsites set in a cleared/open area next to Lake Owen at an elevation of 9,000 feet. Campsites are well separated providing nice privacy between neighbors. There are two loops in the campground and most campsites have great views of the 55-acre lake.
Campsites can accommodate tents, trailers and RVs (up to 45 feet). Most sites are reservable but there are also first-come first-serve sites. Each site also has a table, fire ring and grill. No electrical hook-ups, water hook-ups, or black water hook-ups are available.
The campground is generally open early June through September. Amenities include drinking water, vault toilets and trash collection. A boat ramp is also next to the campground. Cell service is not available.
Outdoor recreation in the area includes fishing, boating, canoeing, kayaking, hiking, OHV trail riding, mountain biking, stargazing, picnicking and wildlife viewing.
Other campgrounds in the are include Ryan Park, North Fork, Big Creek Lakes and Rob Roy.
