Narrows Overview

Narrows Campground (aka ‘The Narrows Campground’) has 20 campsites and is located next to scenic New Fork Lake, at the edge of the Wind River Range in northwestern Wyoming. The popular campground is set in a grove of aspens and offers spectacular views of the surrounding area.

The campground is generally open early mid May to mid September. Amenities include vault toilets and trash collection. Drinking water is not available. Firewood is available to purchase from the camp host. Cell service is also not available. Campsites can accommodate tents, trailers and RVs. Each site also has a gravel parking spur (25-30 feet), table, fire ring and grill.

Other campgrounds in the area include New Fork Lake Group, New Fork Lake Family, Willow Lake, Whiskey Grove, Trails End and Fremont Lake.

Narrows Campground – Area Recreation & Activities

Outdoor recreation in the area includes boating, kayaking, canoeing, paddle boarding, fishing, swimming, hiking, horseback riding, mountain biking OHV trail riding, picnicking and wildlife viewing. A boat ramp is also located about a mile from the campground.
