South Fork Bighorn National Forest Overview

South Fork 002

South Fork Bighorn National Forest campground is located on the South Fork Clear Creek and has 14 campsites, 5 of which (sites 10-14) are tent only.

Campsites can accommodate tents, trailers and RVs. Each site also has a table, lantern pole, fire ring and grate. Campground amenities include drinking water and vault toilets. Firewood is also available for sale at the campground. Cell service is not available in the area.

South Fork Bighorn National Forest – Area Recreation

South Fork Campground is located 15 miles west of Buffalo, Wyoming on the east side of scenic Cloud Peak Skyway. It is also near the Cloud Peak Wilderness Area. The surrounding Bighorn National Forest offers a wide variety of activities, including hiking, fishing, scenic driving and a number of historic sites. Tie Hack Reservoir is nearby, offering a great location for canoeing and fishing. Anglers will find rainbow, cutthroat, brown and also brook trout in the lake.
