Trails End (WY) Overview

Trails End Campground has 8 campsites in a forested area near some of the most popular hikes in the Bridger Wilderness. It’s also located a few miles from Fremont Lake.

The primitive campgrounds is at an elevation of about 9,300 feet and is generally open early June to mid September. Campsites can accommodate tents, trailers and RVs. Each site also has a table, food storage locker, fire ring and grill. Some campsites also have a horse corral. Amenities include vault toilets and trash collection. Potable (drinking) water is not available. Cell service is also not available.

Other campgrounds in the area include Freemont Lake, Half Moon Lake and Willow Lake.

Outdoor recreation in the area includes backpacking, hiking, horseback riding, fishing, hunting, rock climbing, picnicking and wildlife viewing.
