Cedar Breaks National Monument Overview

Cedar Breaks National Monument features a half-mile deep geologic amphitheater and offers opportunities to hike among bristlecone pines and lush meadows filled with wildflower. Stargazing is also spectacular in the area with special viewing events held throughout the year.

Cedar Breaks also has a 7.5 mile scenic drive through the high-country, a 25-site campground (Point Supreme), and three trails (Sunset – 2 miles, Alpine Pond – 2 miles and South Rim – 5 miles). There’s also an abundance of wildlife in the area including elk, fox, weasels, marmots, mule deer and a variety of birds.
