Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore Overview

Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore has over 100 miles of hiking trails. Campgrounds include 12-Mile Beach, Hurricane River and Little Beaver Lake. Backcountry camping is also available.

The Lakeshore hugs the Lake Superior shoreline for more than 40 miles. Lake Superior is the largest, deepest, coldest, and most pristine of all the Great Lakes.

Outdoor recreation includes biking, sunbathing, swimming, fishing, boating canoeing, kayaking, picnicking and wildlife viewing. Snowmobiling, snowshoeing and cross-country skiing are also popular in the winter.
