Rogue River-Siskiyou National Forest Overview

Rogue-River Siskiyou National Forest ranges from the Cascade Mountain Range west into the Siskiyou Mountains and covers almost 1.8 million acres. It also includes southern portions of the Coastal Range from southwestern Oregon into California.

The Rogue River-Siskiyou National Forest is home to incredible rivers, isolated wilderness areas, outstanding fisheries and wildlife resources. Visitors can also enjoy breathtaking landscapes of mountains, meadows, streams, and lakes.

Recreation and Activities

Outdoor recreation includes camping, fishing, boating, rafting, hiking, mountain biking, horseback riding and picnicking. Wildlife viewing is also great with opportunities to see bear, deer, fox, a variety of bird and other forest creatures.
