Each campsite also has a table, fire ring and grate. Keep in mind that the campsites are accessed via a steep hill. Sites are fairly level, but close together. There are also 5 cabins available. All cabins have showers, small kitchens and linens.

Campground amenities include drinking water, flush toilet, hot showers ($) and a small camps store & cafe. There is also a “Kid’s Fish First Trout Pond” on the premises.

Glacier Lodge – Area Recreation

The area has some spectacular hiking and fishing opportunities. Visitors can access the South and North Fork of the Big Pine Creek trails. The North Fork is one of the prettiest in all the Sierra. Hikes and backpackers use this to reach the Palisade Glacier (the largest remaining glacier in the Sierra Nevada), as well as several mountain peaks. Photography and wildlife viewing is also great here.
