Lake San Antonio Campground (California)

Lake San Antonio Overview

Lake San Antonio North Shore Campground (McCandles Springs) has 18 campsites with full hookups, 73 with water & electric hookups and other standard (no hookup) sites next to the lake.  Dispersed / primitive camping is also available. Group youth campsites are also available.

Lake San Antonio Recreation Area is about 22 miles north of Paso Robles and 7 miles from Lake Nacimiento. The facility and campgrounds are operated by Monterey County Parks.

Campground amenities include  vault & flush toilets trash collection and a dump station. There’s also a marina, boat ramp, visitor center, hiking/biking trails and picnic areas. Cell service is poor in the area.

Outdoor Recreation & Activities

Outdoor recreation includes boating, fishing, water sports, swimming, canoeing, kayaking, paddle-boarding, horseback riding, mountain biking, hiking and picnicking. Wildlife viewing is also good in the area.
