Lawson’s Landing Campground (California)

Lawson’s Landing Overview

Lawson’s Landing is a large RV Park located at the mouth of Tomales Bay and along the shores of the Pacific Ocean at Sand Point. This camping, boating and fishing resort is about 50 miles north of San Francisco at Dillon Beach. There are over 400 campsites and some right along the ocean. All sites are a short walk to the beach.

Campsites can accommodate tents, trailers and RVs. There are also 16 tent-only walk to sites (301 – 316) located in the south end of the meadow.  Campsites with water & electric hookups, water hookups or dry (no hookups) are available. Each site also has a table and fire ring/grill.

Amenities include drinking water, vault toilets, flush toilets, trash collection and 2 dump stations. A camp store is also on site. The number of vehicles per site vary, but only 1 RV per site is allowed. Check-in time is 1pm and check-out is 12pm. You can also make reservations up to 4 months in advance of your arrival date. Cell service isn’t too good in the area.

The Boathouse is located within the campground and sells gifts, beer, wine, wood, ice, oysters, beverages, camping supplies and fishing gear.

Point Reyes National Seashore is also about 25 miles south and offers backcountry camping. You may also like Samuel P. Taylor State Park.

What is the max number of people per campsite? We have an RV.

  4. Sorcha Scarff says:

    Good afternoon,

I have been trying to make a reservation for tomorrow night but there appears to be an error with the website, as it won’t open. I tried to call too but the automated service directed me back to the website.

I would be grateful if someone could contact me about making a reservation if you have any availability for tomorrow evening for two people. We will be camping in a small tent.

    Many thanks and best wishes,

    Sorcha

    • Hi Sorcha,
Yes – we also checked and it looks like the website for Lawson’s Landing is down (not responding). Not sure when they will get it back up. That’s unfortunate that their telephone number has an automated service.

  5. Ben Staab says:

What do the white campsites mean on your website?
