dump. junk yard trailer park
The Starlite Classic Campground is an awesome park catering to vintage rv, travel trailer and any other vehicle that is vintage!! The owners are eclectic and incredibly passionate about anything vintage. They refurbish and repair vintage travel trailers. There several beautiful trailers/rv’s that you can rent and stay in or you can stay at one of the several sites they have for rent. I have a group on FB of vintage travel trailer enthusiasts and we have a rally there once a year. It’s a blast. We sell out the campground. There’s 2 other events that the owner’s host at the park and they are also a blast. If you are not into the vintage gig, then you might think that this place is, as the previous person commented, “a junk yard trailer park”, but if you enjoy anything vintage, this place is awesome. The restrooms are SPOTLESS and so are the trailers they rent out. The owners are more than accomodating and will even bring you a hot pizza if you would like pizza (they sell Tombstone pizza in the little shop). The setting of the campground is perfect. You are surrounded by mountains and have an unobstructed view of the Royal Gorge! This place is 5 star all the way!!!!
We love camping at the Starlite! it’s like the 1960-s have returned and the feeling of small-town and safe is evident there! They have a great little playground for the little ones… bikes of all sizes for use at no charge.. and a free mini golf course too! The showers and bathrooms are always clean too! It’s super close to the entrance to the Royal Gorge, and convenient to town too! We have camped there many times.. and whether you have a vintage camper, a big RV or even a tent – everyone is welcome!
