Frenchman’s Wilderness Campground Overview

Frenchman’s Wilderness Campground offers approximately 150 single-family campsites and is located in the Atchafalaya Basin east of Henderson, LA.

Campsites are quite spacious and have full hookups. Amenities include drinking water, clean restrooms, showers, laundry facilities, propane, WiFi access, a swimming pool, 2 playground, mini golf, an arcade and plenty of open space for outdoor activities. There’s also special family-reined events held throughout the year.

Outdoor activities in the area include boating, kayaking, canoeing, fishing, kayaking, hiking and wilderness viewing. Also be sure to sign up for one of the nearby swamp tours and enjoy authentic Cajun cooking at nearby towns.
