We stayed at Sandy Springs campgrounds for the first time Father’s day weekend 2023. This is a very clean, small, family run campgrounds on the Ohio River that is family friendly. The owner, her dad and the camp host made us feel very comfortable. Our site #7 had a great view of the river and all the FHU we needed. They had donuts on Saturday along with corn hole tournaments for the guest and a 80’s theme DJ/Karaoke Saturday evening. People were very friendly and fun was had by all. There is corn hole set up and kids playground equipment that I seen being used and loved. The camp host Debbie told us about the Hiking trail across US 52 called Rock Run, 3.3 mile hike with wonderful wilderness views, her husband is a trail blazer for this trail and does a great job maintaining the trail. I would recommend this campground to anyone for relaxing family time. If you don’t have a camper/tent then they rent 3 different cabins and a house boat on land for your stay. Thanks for a great father’s day weekend.
