Wind Point Park RV Resort & Campground Overview
Wind Point Park, a 180-acre RV park and campground, is located next to Lake Tawakoni about an hour east of Dallas, TX. There are a variety of short and long term lodging options, including cabins, screened-in shelters, tent camping sites, and full RV hook-ups. Amenities include a convenience store, flush toilets, showers, laundry facilities, a playground and a marina. There’s also a basketball and volley ball courts.
The RV park and campground has many recreational activities, including swimming, boating, fishing, and plain old relaxing. Its many community features make Wind Point a great place for group retreats and family reunions. Pets are welcome.
Wind Point Park is located on Lake Tawakoni, the tenth largest lake in Texas, six miles west of Lone Oak and sixty miles east of Dallas. It is easily accessible off Highway 276 and US-69.

Hands down one of the best campgrounds we’ve ever stayed in. If we could give more stars we would. Staff are friendly and go the extra mile to make sure your camping experience is a great one. Grounds are super clean!!! We were on the water for a few days then up in the park then back to the water in between availability. Help you get in and out of your site and spray for ants (which we didn’t see any). We’d definitely recommend and have to several people along our travels. You won’t be disappointed and can’t beat the price.
