Newport News Park Overview

Newport News Park Campground has 187 campsites in a wooded area next to Lee Hall Reservoir and just minutes from the historic town of Williamsburg.

Campsites can accommodate tents, trailers and RVs. Water & electric hookups are available in loops A, B, C and D. Each campsite also has a paved parking pad, table, fire ring and grill. Amenities include drinking water, restrooms with flush toilets and showers, laundry facilities, trash collection and a dump station. The park also has a boat ramp, boat trailer parking, playground, 18-hole golf course, 30-acre aeromodel flying field, horse show ring, disc golf, Peace Garden, picnic areas, hiking and biking trails. Canoe, jon boat and paddle boat rentals area also available.

Newport News Park – Area Recreation & Activities

The 7,500+ acre park offers a variety of outdoor recreation including boating, kayaking, canoeing, paddle-boarding, fishing, hiking, mountain biking, horseback riding, archery, picnicking and wildlife viewing. The Park also includes an 18-hole championship disc golf course and a 30-acre aeromodel flying field. Boat and bicycle rentals are available and there is a camp store.
