Cave Springs Campground Coconino National Forest Recreation Arizona

Cave Springs Overview

Cave Springs D014

Cave Springs Campground is located in scenic Oak Creek Canyon and is one of the most popular campgrounds in the Sedona area.  The campground has 82 campsites in a forest of ponderosa pines with many right on the banks of Oak Creek. And it doesn’t stop there!  Each campsite also has a table, fire ring and grill.

Campground amenities include drinking water, vault toilets,  coin-operated showers, paved roads and spurs.

Cave Springs – Area Recreation

Outdoor recreation includes camping, fishing, swimming/wading, hiking, sightseeing, wildlife viewing and photography. Crystal spotting is also a favorite pass-time in the area. Slide Rock State Park is nearby, and of course the town of Sedona has many shops and restaurants to visit.

You may also like Manzanita and Pine Flat campgrounds. Both are located on Oak Creek in the Sedona area.

My two Grand daughter’s and I spent two nights at Cave Springs campground and we loved it. We were close to the creek and enjoyed the swimming hole a trot down stream. The trees are amazing. Traffic was at times louder than I would have liked being close to the highway but the beauty of the place made up for it. Friendly camp host’s that work very hard keeping the grounds clean. I plan on making one last summer trip to this campground soon. There use to be a trail that led to a cave here but because of ignorant people who vandalized, it is now closed to the public. So sad.

  2. hi, can you tell me the popular campsites? at this campground. Thanks

  3. Stacy P. says:

We are heading out of Cave Springs now and we don’t want to leave! We had the pleasure of staying in site F10, which is at the very end of the campground. It’s a huge, secluded, very shady, beautiful site. It’s right next to a pretty little trail to the creek. We stayed Sun-Weds and everyone was very respectful and quiet. The showers are hot, but will set you back $6 for 8 minutes. The entire place was covered in fall leaves and was spectacular. The A loop is right next to the creek but also highway 89A so the road noise is a negative. We absolutely will be back.
