  1. Michael Morgan says:

Who ever made the new site map failed.
The old map was so much easier to read with all the loops and sites.
Now it’s TERRIBLE just showing topographical with a few triangles showing numbers to NO numbers at all.
Go back to the old map.

    • Hi Michael,
If you click on the ‘Campground Map’ button for Kaibab Lake you’ll see an image of the campground site map that shows where all the sites are within each loop, etc.

  2. Dennis Maria says:

I do not see campsite # 047 on the map for the Kaibab Lake campground. It is listed on the list of campsites page. What’s up with that?

    • Hi Dennis,
Kaibab Lake campsite #47 is definitely there – at the campground, is reservable and upon close inspection – I do see it on the campground map too.
It’s a nice pull through site!

  3. Bob Welch says:

Looking for a hosting position. Arline and live in Yuma….35 years a full timer. Pretty sure your guests who listen will learn from us.

    • Hi Bob,
I suggest you call the info / contact number for Kaibab Lake campground at 928-699-1239, or for White Horse campground at 928-635-8208. They may have info on ow to apply to be a camp host. Best of luck!

  4. Peter Arbogast says:

We have a reservation for 5/24 to 5/29. I have not been able to find out when check-in time is.

  5. Laura Bardaweel says:

How does e first come first serve campsite work?

    • Hi Laura,
For Kaibab Lake campground you can select from first-come first-serve campsites if nobody has taken and paid for the campsite. Campers usually will try and arrive early in the morning and check with the camp host on availability. During the summer, and especially on weekends, the first-come first-serve sites will be popular and there may be campers waiting in line to try and get a site. If a site is available, you’ll get one.

  6. Fred Haaser says:

Is there any fee to visit and kayak the lake?

  7. David Bemiss says:

It is 11-4-2020 and I am not able to make a reservation????? The reservation is for 5-17-2021 to 5-27-2021.

    • Hi David,
Individual sites at this Kaibab Lake campground operate on a 6-month rolling basis. For example, November 5 (3pm PST), availability will be released for May 5 in the following year. Campsites are available on first-come, first-serve basis May 1-5 and Sep 26-30. So reservations will open on Recreation.gov beginning Nov 17 (3pm PST) for a May 17, 2021 arrival.

  8. Roxane L Mazurkiewicz says:

are there fire restrictions in effect , in the park?

    • Hi Roxane,
Fire conditions are “extreme” in the Kaibab National Forest, so campfires are not allowed at Kaibab Lake or any other campground within Kaibab National Forest. It will probably be that way for the rest of the year.

  9. What are allowed hours for generators at Kaibab Lake sites?

    • Hi Terry,
I wasn’t able to find any info on when the generator use hours are for Kaibab Lake, but it’s probably some like from 7am to 9pm. You could try giving the campground a call to check at: 928 699-1239
