Manzanita Campground Coconino National Forest Recreation Arizona

Manzanita Overview

Manzanita Oak Creek View 1

Manzanita Campground has 19 small campsites best suited for tent camping, but they are located in a primo location along the banks of Oak Creek just north of Sedona. Speaking of primo, the fishing here is not bad at all (stocked regularly with trout) – and just steps from your campsite.  You can also splash, float and play around in the creek if you want – although the fisher people may not appreciate it.

Each campsite has a table, fire ring and grate. Manzanita Campground has drinking water, vault toilets and a delightful host that will sell you fire wood. The campground is open year-round. Oh, and if you need a hot shower you can head up the road to Cave Springs campground.

Manzanita – Area Recreation

Outdoor recreation includes hiking, biking, fishing, photography, meditating, star gazing and wildlife viewing. You can also take a short drive up to Slide Rock State Park for some good family food. After a big day of adventure, the soothing sounds of Oak Creek will sure to put you to sleep on your comfortable air mattress.

Pine Flat campground is another option and is located 6 miles to the north via highway 89A.
