Antlers Campground SHASTA-TRINITY NATIONAL FOREST California

Antlers Overview

Antlers 041

Antlers campground has 59 campsites and is located on a bluff above the Trinity Arm of Shasta Lake in the Shasta-Trinity National Forest.  The campground is generally flat and level with a nice forest of oak and pine. Some sites also have views of the lake. There is a choo choo train track next to the campground so you may occasionally hear it pass by.

Campsites can accommodate tents, trailers and RVs (35 to 45 feet). Each site also has a table, fire ring, grate and food storage locker.  Double sites: 6, 7, 9, 13, 17, 19, 22, 30, 31, 33, 41, 43, 49, 51, 57

Campground amenities include drinking water and flush toilets. There’s also an amphitheater and boat launch ramp nearby.  Firewood is available to purchase from the camp host (site #2). Cell service is good in the area.

Antlers – Shasta Lake Area Recreation

There’s plenty to do here including boating, fishing, canoeing, kayaking, swimming, water sports, hiking, mountain biking, picnicking and wildlife viewing. You can also rent a houseboat and spend some time cruising on the lake.

The Shasta-Trinity is the largest national forest in California with a diverse landscape, encompassing five wilderness areas, hundreds of mountain lakes and 6,278 miles of streams and rivers. Lake Shasta has 365 miles of shoreline punctuated by steep mountains blanketed in Manzanita and evergreens. Snow-capped Mount Shasta, the second-tallest mountain in the Cascade Range, looms in the distance.

You may also be interested in Lakeshore East. It is also next to Shasta Lake and close to Antlers campground.
