Campground By The Lake D004

Campground by the Lake has 177 campsites and is located in the city of South Lake Tahoe and across the street from Lake Tahoe. There are also 6 tent cabins and 1 standard cabin available. Check in time is 1pm and check out is 11am.

Campsites can accommodate tents, trailers and RVs (from 23 to 43 feet). Loops A and B also have water & electric hookups. Generators are okay from 7 am to 9pm. Each campsite also has a table, fire ring and grate. Campground amenities include drinking water, flush toilets, hot-water showers ($), a dump station and fish cleaning station. Firewood, ice and other supplies are also available for purchase from the camp store. Cell service is good in the area.

Area Recreation & Activities

The campground is located within 56 acres that includes a recreation & swim complex, playground sports fields, basketball courts, weight room/gym, pickle ball, ice arena, bike trails, senior center, visitor center, historical museum and Bijou golf course.

Other campgrounds in the are include Fallen Leaf, Camp Shelly, Nevada Beach, Camp Richardson and Zephyr Cove.
