Dorst Creek Campground in Sequoia-Kings Canyon National Park  has 202 sites for tents, trailers and RVs. The campground is large and pretty spread out with 8 loops (including the group camping area loop).  There are 145 standard campsites, 25 RV sites (no hookups),  24 tent/walk-in, 4 tent and 4 group campsites.

Each campsite has a table, fire ring, grate and food storage locker. Some sites will not accommodate more than one tent. The campground has drinking water, flush toilets, a pay phone and an RV dump station. There are no hookups at this campground.

The campground is also located about 8 miles from Lodgepole Village which has a visitor center, market, deli, snack bar, gift show, coin-operated showers and a laundromat. You can also take a short 10 mile drive to see the Giant Forest Sequoia Grove and General Sherman Tree.

There is a free shuttle service within the Giant Forest area of Sequoia National Park with shuttle stops at the Wuksachi Lodge, Lodgepole Visitor Center and Market, Lodgepole campground, Upper and Lower General Sherman Tree parking, Giant Forest Museum, Moro Rock and Crescent Meadow. There is also shuttle service to Dorst Creek during the summer months.

Several popular day-hikes originate from or near the campground and you can also enjoy biking, backpacking, picnicking, star gazing and wildlife viewing.

Other campground options in Sequoia-Kings Canyon National Park are Stony Creek, SunsetAzaleaCrystal Springs, Lodgepole and Buckeye Flat.
