31 Comments on “Humboldt Redwoods State Park Burlington”

  1. are dogs allowed, I have a labrodoodle

  2. Are there group campsites in Burlington?!

  3. Gary Martin says:

Are there any sites at Burlington that will accommodate a 34’ 5th Wheel RV and a truck?

  4. KC Perry says:

I was wondering about amenities specific to Burlington. Do the sites have BBQ pits? And restrooms nearby?

    • Hi KC,

You can check out all of the information and amenities for Burlington Campground by clicking HERE. Burlington Campground does have two restrooms with flush toilets and hot showers (coin operated). Each campsite has a table, fire ring/pit with a grate and a food storage locker.

  5. Do you have ADA showers?

    • Hi ND,

CampsitePhotos.com is not associated with the campgrounds listed on our site. We provide the photos, campground info and reservation link.
We’re not sure if the Burlington Campground has ADA showers. I recommend you call the park/campground directly at: 707 946-1811

  6. We plan on using the fire pit for cooking our meals. We will bring and buy firewood, but I was wondering if it’s aloud to use charcoal in the fire pits? Especially for morning campfire made coffee and breakfast, I’m wondering if we can mix in charcoal for faster heat, lasting and even temperature?

  7. What does “H B” mean on the campground map near sites 53 and 55?

    • Hi Sara,
The “H B” is a designation for ‘Hike / Bike’ campsites at Burlington campground. These are ‘walk-in’ (first-come, first-serve) for hikers and bikers.

  8. Is there a camp store nearby the campgrounds where you can buy food and basic necessities?

    • Hi Mario,

The town of Miranda is about 10 miles south (on Highway 254) of Burlington Campground in Humboldt Redwoods State Park. Miranda has a store/market that sells food, beverages, supplies, etc. There’s also a gas station, cafe and a few other small shops there.

  9. What time is check-in/check-out

  10. Garrett says:

Hello does site 14 allow a vehicle with a small tent trailer?

    • HI Garret,
Yes – Albee Creek campground campsite 14, and Hidden Springs campground campsite 14 will both accommodate a vehicle with a small tent trailer. Both campsites have parking spaces with length of 24 feet.

  11. Hey are dirt bikes allowed ?

  12. Hi,
How many tents are allowed per site in Burlington Campground?

    Thanks!

  13. We have a 25 foot trailer. I realize the description says 24 feet, but is there a site that will fit us in mid September 2022?

    • Hi Nikkie,
Your trailer should fit, but final call comes from camp host/park ranger. You can also visit ReserveCalifornia.com – Humboldt Redwoods State Park, and check each site for size availability. It’s a bit of a pain, but the info is there.

  14. is there service at the Burlington Campground? or somewhere nearby?

    • Hi Sophie,
If you’re talking about ‘cell’ service – you can probably get a signal up on Highway 101. The town of Weott (9 miles south) has cell service.

  15. Sarah Avalon says:

This campground is AWSOME! It’s one of the few I’ve visited where I could be happy just hanging around the campsite all day. You’ll be surrounded by giant redwoods and steeped in their tree bliss.

Okay, on to business, the business of picking a campsite. I did my usual assessment of each site in the park and came up with my list of winners. My judging criteria are as follows: I have a 25-foot RV, so a site has to fit me in and be level enough to get my RV to level without putting it on stilts. Also, I want a site not right next to a bathroom, as I have one and don’t want a ton of foot traffic nearby. Also, I want a private site, (no close neighbors). And last but not least, I want a scenic spot. So here’s my list of the best sites, any one of which will work [18, 19, 20, 26, 27, 29, 30].
