Lower Lee Vining Overview

Lower Lee Vining campground is first-come, first-serve and has 52 campsites situated along Lee Vining Creek at about 7,300 feet in elevation. Most campsites are large and well shaded by towering pines. Sites 18-24 are walk to (from parking area), but are close to the creek.

Campground amenities include drinking water and vault toilets. Firewood is also available for sale from the camp host. Campsites can accommodate tents, trailers and RVs (20 to 50 feet) Each site also has a table, food storage locker, fire ring and grate. Cell service is poor in the area.

Lower Lee Vining – Area Recreation

Fishing is great on the creek and other popular activities include hunting, hiking, mountain biking, picnicking, horseback riding and wildlife viewing.

You may also be interested in Moraine campground. Lundy Canyon campground is also nice.
