Peavine Campground Angeles National Forest California
Peavine Overview
Peavine campground is first-come, first serve and has 4 tent only (walk to) campsites in a nice forest of large pine trees. Parking is in a parking lot along Big Pine Highway (not in the individual campsites). The campground has a drinking water and a vault toilet. Each campsite also has a table, fire ring and grate. Vehicles parked at the campground will need to have an Adventure Pass.
Located at 6,200 feet, the campground is open mid-May to mid-November, is close to Jackson Lake and many hiking trails in the San Gabriel Mountains. The small mountain community of Wrightwood is also about 5 miles away if you need supplies.
Table Mountain, Lake, Mountain Oak and Apple Tree are other campgrounds in the area.
