Scotts Flat Lake Overview

Scotts Flat Lake Campground has 171 campsites in two camping areas next to beautiful Scotts Flat Lake in the Sierra Nevada foothills (3,000 feet). Gate 1 area is near the dame and has 96 campsites. Gate 2 area has another 75 campsites.

The campground is open year round and reservations are recommended. Single-family tent, trailer/RV sites are available and some are waterfront.  Double-family sites (up to 16 people) and  group campsites (from 32 100 people) are also available.  Hookups are not available. Quiet hours are from 10pm to 8am (no generator use during those times).

Campground amenities include drinking water, flush toilets, showers, a dump station and trash collection. There’s also a camp store, marina, boat launch at boat trailer parking lot next to the Gate 2 camping area entrance.  The marina has boat rentals.

Area Recreation & Activities

The 2-mile long lake is popular for boating, sailing, paddle-boarding, kayaking, water sports, swimming and fishing. Other activities in the area include mountain biking, hiking, picnicking and wildlife viewing.

You might also like Orchard Springs and Peninsula campgrounds over next to Rollins Reservoir.
