Springhill Dispersed Area Overview

Springhill Dispersed Campground has a South and North section that offer about 24-26 camping areas next to the Upper Kern River. Springhill Dispersed is a free camping area and open year-round.

There are no facilities (toilets, water or trash collection. Camping must be a least 25 feet from the river. The town of Kern is about 5 miles south and has a grocery store, gas stations, restaurants and supplies.

Spring Dispersed – Area Recreation

Outdoor recreation in the area includes whitewater rafting, kayaking, fishing, fly fishing, hiking, mountain biking, horseback riding, picnicking and wildlife viewing. Lake Isabella is also about 7 miles away and offers a variety of water sports.

Corral Creek is another free dispersed camping area just a little down river. Hospital Flat is an established campground and also downriver about a mile.
